Construction activity associated with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the kingdom’s gigaprojects is ramping up fast, but is still in the early stages. there are $879bn of projects planned, of which only about $50bn have been awarded so far. While much work is still needed, progress is being made on projects with a step change in the total value of contracts awarded. the total value of contract awards in 2022 more than doubled compared to 2021, In 2021, there was $11.9bn of contract awards, and in 2022 there was $24bn of awards.
