Vår Energi ASA has entered into an agreement with Neptune Energy Group Holdings Limited to acquire 100% of the shares of Neptune Energy Norge AS for a cash consideration based on an agreed enterprise value of USD 2.275 billion (the “Transaction”) to accelerate growth and value creation as a leading E&P independent on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). The Transaction will add scale, diversification and further longevity to Vår Energi’s portfolio and will strengthen the Company’s position in all existing hub areas and combine two strong organizations with extensive NCS experience. It will add production of high-value barrels and an asset portfolio supporting long-term sustained value creation and underpin our plan to increase production by more than 50% by end-2025, while significantly reducing unit production cost.
