KOMINFO COOPERATES WITH STARTUPS TO APPLY DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY TO CULTIVATORS

The Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) is partnering with aquaculture startup eFishery to implement digital technology adoption in the form of automatic feed devices for 20 fish farmers in Tabanan, Bali. The collaboration aims to optimize work productivity and collaboration between private agencies and the fishing community. The digital cultivator program in Tabanan was the first collaboration program with eFishery startups and received support from the Directorate General of Cultivation, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries as the leading maritime sector. Kominfo has designed several digitalization initiatives in six strategic sectors, including the maritime sector.For fish cultivators in Tabanan, Kominfo provided assistance to two groups of 20 people, each receiving an automatic feeder for one fish pond. The program aims to support the Kominfo program to accelerate technology in the field of aquaculture. VP of Public Affairs eFishery, Muhammad Chairil, aims to facilitate an automatic feed tool called eFeeder through Kominfo, which will provide feed efficiency by adjusting the amount of fish feed given based on the fish's weight and a predetermined time.
