Poland is one of the biggest exporters of chocolate in the European Union, exporting 115,000 tonnes last year, or 13 percent of the total amount, according to the EU stats office, Eurostat.In 2023, European Union countries exported 867,000 tonnes of chocolate and chocolate bars to countries outside the EU. The leading exporters of chocolate were Germany with 221,000 tonnes or 26 percent of total exports, followed by the Netherlands (123,000 tonnes or 14 percent), Poland (115,000 tonnes or 13 percent), Belgium (96,000 tonnes or 11 percent) and Italy (92,000 tonnes or 11 percent).
