WORLD BANK: FOOD PRICES IN JORDAN RISE FOR NINTH MONTH IN A ROW

Food prices in Jordan rose by 1.5% by the end of March, according to a monthly report by the World Bank, at a time when the Department of General Statistics announced that the consumer price index (inflation) for the first three months of the current year had risen by 1.72%, compared to the same period in 2023. According to a World Bank report, food prices in Jordan continued to rise for the ninth month in a row, after rising by 1.8% in February, 3% in January, 2.2% in December, 0.8% in November, 1.7%. In October, 1.3% in September, 0.6% in July, and 1.2% in August. (ICE AMMAN)
