According to the latest data released by the Central Statistical Office (GUS), in March 2024 the average wage in the enterprise sector amounted to PLN8,408.79 gross, which represents an increase by 12 percent y/y, and as noted by Polish Economic Institute (PIE) analyst, wages are growing faster than inflation by 10 percentage points. This compensates for the loss of purchasing power in 2022 and 2023, and the trend is likely to continue throughout 2024. “However, in the long term wage growth will slow down.
