Saudi gigaproject developer Diriyah Company is evaluating bids for the Jabal al Qurain Avenue (JAQA) cultural district located in the northern district of the Diriyah Gate project in Riyadh. The tender was issued early this year. The technical bid submission was on 14 March and the commercial bids were submitted on 31 March. The project will be likely awarded around the middle of this year. Firms including Nesma & Partners, UCC and Albawani have submitted the bids. The JAQA assets include a theatre academy, poetry institute, Najdi architecture academy, arab music school, mud brick cinema, culinary institute and Beit al Ardah. Dutch engineering firm Arcadis and US-based KEO are the project consultants. Canada-based Ellisdon is the project management consultant. Construction works are already underway for the early works package of the JAQA district.
