The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy has reported that at the end of April 2024 the registered unemployment rate was at 5.1%, with the number of people out of work reaching 798,500, and the ministry underscored that the figures for April were the lowest since 1991. The data released by the ministry also show that at the end of last month there were 13,100 Ukrainian nationals looking for a job in Poland, representing 1.6 % of all unemployed. Finally, the ministry’s figures show that in April, employers notified 88,100 vacancies and places of occupational activation to labour offices, as many as a month earlier and 6,800 or 8.4% more than in April 2023.
