  1. GENERAL INFORMATION


    1. LOCATION

      Region I is located in the northwestern portion of Luzon. La Union, the regional center, is 4-5 hours drive northeast of Manila. Laoag City, one of the major cities, is 8 hours by land and 1 hour by plane. Flights from Laoag to Hongkong and Taiwan is less than an hour and three hours to Japan, Korea and Singapore.
